We are seeking organized, professional, and welcoming individuals to serve as the "heart of the school" in multiple buildings. As a 12-month School Secretary, you will provide essential administrative support to students, staff, and families, ensuring the daily operations of the main office run smoothly and efficiently.
Key Details
Schedule: 12-Month position | 7.5 Hours per day.
Location: Immediate Opening at Kensington Road Elementary School (April 2026), Anticipated Opening at Glens Falls High School (June 2026), with additional openings possible.
Reports To: Building Principal.
Primary Responsibilities
Communication Hub: Serve as the primary point of contact for the school. Greet visitors, answer multi-line phones, and manage school-wide communications via ParentSquare and email.
Student Records & Data: Maintain accurate student records using our student management system (eSchool).
Administrative Support: Coordinate mail, manage the Principal's calendar, and assist in the preparation of school reports, newsletters, and graduation/award materials.
Operations: Manage office supplies inventory, coordinate building facility requests, and assist with the onboarding of substitute teachers.
Student Support: Assist as needed to guide students, manage late arrivals/early dismissals, and data entry.
Preferred Qualifications & Skills
Experience: Previous experience in a school office or high-volume administrative role.
Tech Savvy: Proficiency in Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Drive) and student management software.
Soft Skills: Exceptional interpersonal skills, the ability to remain calm under pressure, and a strict commitment to maintaining student confidentiality (FERPA).
Adaptability: Ability to multitask in a busy environment where priorities can shift quickly.

Job Qualifications
Education: High School Diploma or equivalent (Associate’s degree preferred).
