Position Title: ISP Staff
Reports to: Site Principal
FLSA Designation: Exempt
Calendar: 9 month
SUMMARY: Instructs student in activities designed to promote social, physical, and intellectual growth in the subject matter and skills that will contribute to their development as mature, able and responsible men and women by completing their public education experience.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Other duties may be assigned by supervisor.
- Provides instructional support for district approved curriculum
- Creates a learning environment that is conducive to learning and appropriate to the maturity and interests of the students
- Takes all necessary and reasonable precautions to protect students, equipment, materials and facilities
- Guides the learning process toward the achievement of assigned work and establishes clear expectations for all students
- Assists the administration in implementing all policies and rules governing student life and conduct, and, for the classroom, develops reasonable rules of classroom behavior and procedure, and maintains order in the classroom in a fair and just manner
- Assesses the accomplishments of students on a regular basis and provides progress updates as required
- Keeps appropriate records and prepares progress and enrollment reports
- Encourages students to set and maintain standards of classroom behavior and performance
- Maintains accurate, complete, and correct records as required by law, district policy and administrative regulations
- Works well with both supervisors and other members of the team
- Maintains consistent and punctual attendance
- Performs other duties assigned by supervisor or administrator

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: HS Diploma or GED, some college preferred.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: None required, Oklahoma Teaching certificate, preferred
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Ability to apply knowledge of current research and theory to instructional program; ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with students and staff; ability to communicate clearly and concisely both in oral and written form; ability to perform duties with awareness of all district requirements and policies.
