Logistics Coordinator

About the Role
We’re looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Logistics Coordinator to join our growing wholesale distribution company. With over 50 years in business, we’re entering an exciting period of growth and expansion — and we’re looking for someone dependable who wants to be part of that journey for the long haul.
The Logistics Coordinator plays a key role in keeping our warehouse and office operations running smoothly. This position serves as the link between the purchasing team, sales team, warehouse, and transportation providers — ensuring that inbound and outbound shipments are scheduled efficiently, orders are accurate, and communication remains clear across departments. This role requires someone who can stay organized, communicate clearly, and multitask efficiently while managing multiple moving parts each day.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate inbound shipments and drop-ship deliveries from buying team
- Obtain and compare trucking rate bids for shipments
- Schedule inbound and outbound freight for the warehouse
- Manage and update the order queue system
- Serve as the main liaison between the office and warehouse teams
- Verify order accuracy prior to pickup
- Prepare and issue Bills of Lading (BOLs)
- Oversee and coordinate warehouse cycle counts and inventory accuracy
- Provide general logistics and operational support as needed
Qualifications
· Prior logistics, shipping, or warehouse experience preferred
- Prior experience working with a warehouse management system (WMS) and/or a transportation management system (TMS) preferred
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and follow-up abilities
- Proficient with Microsoft Office (especially Excel) and email
- Comfortable working with multiple departments and tight timelines
- Positive attitude, reliability, and problem-solving mindset
