Logistics Coordinator - Flat Roll Division

Eastern States Steel, a family-owned steel service center proudly serving customers since 1979, is seeking a dedicated and energetic professional to join our team as the Logistics Coordinator for our Flat Roll Division. This highly important role is central to our operations, acting as the main point of contact for our sales team and production leadership while driving efficiency, customer satisfaction, and revenue growth in a dynamic steel service center environment.

Core Responsibilities:
- Manage purchase orders, customer orders, inventory levels, and scheduling for the Flat Roll Division to ensure timely fulfillment and optimal operational flow.
- Serve as the primary liaison between the sales team and office management, facilitating clear communication on orders, updates, and customer needs.
- Support continual growth of the Flat Roll Division and associated administrative tasks.
- Constant negotiation with carriers on landing the most competitive rates.
- Monitor inventory and coordinate with sales to support smooth operations and meet customer deadlines.
Key Qualifications:
- Associate's degree required.
- Strong computer proficiency (Microsoft Office suite; experience with ERP/inventory systems a plus).
- Exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and proven ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Sales experience and/or inventory management experience in the steel or metals industry preferred but not required—we will train the right candidate.
- Energetic, proactive attitude with a growth mindset and commitment to driving results.
What We Offer:
- Hourly rate: $32.00–$38.00 per hour, based on experience, plus annual bonuses on company success.
- Full-time schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:45 AM–4:30 PM.
- Benefits after 90-day probationary period:
- Optional health coverage (company pays 25% of premium).
- Prorated PTO starting at 10 days per year (increasing to a maximum of 20 days after 15 years).
