Position Summary
Our client is seeking a highly motivated and technically skilled Senior Project Manager, Practice Technology Disputes in New York. Reporting to the Manager, Practice Technology Disputes, this strategic, hands-on role supports attorneys and clients on complex, event-driven matters.
The Senior Project Manager will oversee the full lifecycle of litigation technology projects, from early case assessment through trial or matter resolution. Responsibilities include leading project teams, designing workflows and reporting, resolving technical issues, managing vendors and ALSPs, overseeing data quality, and delivering cost-effective legal technology solutions. The role also involves developing project plans, budgets, and status updates while serving as a subject matter expert in eDiscovery and AI/GenAI/TAR technologies supporting disputes, investigations, arbitrations, and trials.
The ideal candidate has 8 years of legal technology experience within a law firm, corporation, or professional services environment, with significant hands-on eDiscovery expertise, prior project management experience, and team leadership skills. Success in this role requires the ability to independently manage complex projects in fast-paced environments while embracing emerging legal technologies. Responsibilities
- Support the implementation, rollout, and adoption of practice technologies while ensuring integration with firm systems through collaboration with technical and procurement teams.
- Identify and implement emerging legal technologies and workflow improvements.
- Coordinate technology testing, user feedback, and vendor collaboration to support successful deployments.
- Develop and promote best practices for AI/GenAI-enabled and automation technologies.
- Provide strategic recommendations to leadership on technology adoption, procurement, and process improvement.
- Lead all phases of legal technology and eDiscovery projects, ensuring quality, efficiency, and defensibility.
- Manage complex matters, including white collar, antitrust, arbitration, regulatory investigations, and other disputes.
- Coordinate the identification, preservation, collection, processing, review, and production of ESI and paper records.
- Design matter-specific workflows and databases while tracking and analyzing client data.
- Develop project strategies, budgets, timelines, and regular stakeholder reporting.
- Serve as the primary liaison with the firm’s Managed Services provider for eDiscovery and disclosure matters.
- Partner with legal technology vendors to design, implement, and maintain solutions aligned with practice needs.
- Assist with vendor selection, contract negotiations, and service coordination.
- Collaborate with legal teams to scope technology requirements and deliver tailored solutions.
- Act as a trusted advisor to senior legal stakeholders, providing strategic guidance on complex legal technology matters.
- Advise attorneys on disputes-related technology and appropriate use cases for platforms including Relativity, VincentAI, Legora, Opus 2, Clearbrief, and similar tools while partnering with platform owners for administration and training.
- Provide hands-on platform support, user training, and guidance on document management, discovery workflows, and best practices.
- Communicate with case teams regarding discovery strategy, budgets, production planning, and project status.
- Assist with client IT interviews and related questionnaires.
- Contribute to knowledge management through playbooks, templates, training programs, CLEs, and cross-functional initiatives.
- Travel domestically and internationally as needed.
- Meet firm billable hour requirements.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred; RCA Certification strongly preferred.
- PMP, ACEDS, or other project management/business analysis certifications are a plus.
- 8 years of legal technology experience, preferably with an AmLaw 100 firm, Big 4, or eDiscovery vendor.
- Proven experience managing complex eDiscovery projects, including government investigations and cross-border matters.
- Deep knowledge of the eDiscovery lifecycle, EDRM, Sedona principles, litigation workflows, and relevant case law.
- Strong understanding of data processing, vendor deliverables, database design, and workflow development.
- Experience managing large-scale domestic and international matters across multiple offices.
- Hands-on expertise with AI/GenAI, TAR, and leading legal technology platforms including Relativity/Relativity aiR, VenioOne, Nuix, eZReview, Trial Director, CaseRooms, Opus Magnum, Clearbrief, VincentAI, Legora, and similar tools.
- Experience with change management in large law firms is a plus.
- Strong technical knowledge of legal databases, analytics tools, workflow automation, information retrieval, archiving systems, and emerging legal technologies.
- Experience training users on legal technology platforms; classroom instruction experience is a plus.
- Demonstrated leadership, project management, and independent problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, client service, and stakeholder management abilities.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities, deadlines, budgets, and service level agreements.

Salary : $175,000 - $200,000
