Director of Applications - Law Firm

Glenmont Group's client, a premier legal institution is searching for a Director of Applications. This is a high-visibility leadership role designed for a "player-coach" who thrives at the intersection of long-term digital strategy and hands-on technical execution.

In this capacity, you will serve as the chief architect of the Firm’s application ecosystem, steering the transition toward cloud-native solutions and sophisticated AI integrations. You will lead a high-performing team to ensure that our attorneys and business professionals have the most reliable, secure, and innovative tools at their fingertips.

Key Responsibilities

• Strategic Vision & Portfolio Ownership: Lead the lifecycle management of mission-critical platforms—including DMS, Finance/Billing, and HRIS—ensuring they align with the Firm’s long-term growth and efficiency goals.
• Technical Design & Automation: Actively design and deploy sophisticated data integrations and workflow automations using Azure Logic Apps, Power Automate, and REST/SOAP APIs to eliminate technical debt.
• Team Development & Mentorship: Build and scale a world-class Applications team, fostering a culture of accountability, continuous learning, and ITIL-aligned service excellence.
• Data Governance & System Integrity: Oversee the stability and security of the enterprise stack, utilizing SQL Server and Power BI to maintain rigorous data quality and high-availability standards.
  
  

Candidate Profile

• 8–10 years of progressive IT experience within a law firm or professional services environment, including 5 years of direct people management.
• Technical Mastery of legal-specific stacks (e.g., iManage, Elite 3E, Intapp) and Microsoft Azure’s integration suite.
• Exceptional Communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts for non-technical partners and stakeholders.
• Base salary range is $200k-250k depending on background and experience.
