The Role

We are seeking a highly strategic Business Development Manager, Industries & Markets to champion growth within our client's Financial Services, Digital Assets, and Financial Regulation practices. Partnering directly with firm leadership and cross-office teams, you will design and execute targeted go-to-market strategies that elevate the firm's brand across the banking, fintech, payments, and Web3 sectors.

What You Will Do

• Drive Strategy & Growth: Architect and execute comprehensive BD and revenue-generation plans for cross-office teams focusing on financial and digital asset sectors.
• Leverage Market Intelligence: Analyze regulatory shifts and competitor landscapes to uncover fresh cross-selling opportunities and advise attorneys on strategic outreach.
• Elevate Client Engagement: Craft compelling, customized pitch materials and proposals for venture-backed fintechs, regulated institutions, and blockchain innovators.
• Champion Thought Leadership: Collaborate with Marketing and Communications teams to amplify the firm's presence through legal directories, webinars, sponsorships, and targeted industry events.
• Manage the Pipeline: Serve as the primary BD point of contact for designated partners, tracking opportunity pipelines and seamlessly coordinating with cross-functional internal operations.
  
  

What You Bring

• Experience: 7 years of progressive business development or marketing experience within a law firm or professional services environment. (A focus on Financial Services or Tech is strongly preferred).
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Design, or a related field.
• Industry Fluency: A strong grasp of financial regulations, digital assets, and fintech ecosystems.
• Technical Skills: High proficiency in CRM platforms, Microsoft Office, and business intelligence tools.
• Execution Focus: Exceptional organizational and project management skills, with a proven ability to translate complex market concepts into actionable BD strategies under tight deadlines.

Our client takes your career progression personally and offers a comprehensive rewards package designed to support you and your family:

• Competitive Base Salary: $165,000 - $185,000 (New York) | $130,000 - $167,000 (Washington, DC), commensurate with experience, qualifications, and internal equity.
