Requirements / Qualifications

Education: An earned bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited college or university. Master's Degree with graduate-level work in Special Education. Credential: Certification accepted by the State of California for the provision of Assistive Technology Services such as Speech/Language/Hearing Education Specialist. High Desirable: Five years of successful teaching experience in Special Education Hands-on experience with the implementation of functional skills curriculum and transition plans Completed a certificate program in Assistive Technology/Augmentative Communication such as CSUN ATACP

In order to be considered for this position, the following documents are required: Completed Edjoin application Letter of introduction Resume Three letters of reference Copies of required credentials and certificates Prior to employment, a candidate must submit evidence of freedom from tuberculosis. Also required after an offer of employment are a pre-employment physical exam (district-paid) and fingerprint clearance with the Department of Justice.
