We are a small and established dental office looking for an experienced insurance coordinator for our dental family. We are a fully PPO office.

Duties
- Greet patients warmly and with a smile upon arrival, ensuring a welcoming experience while verifying their insurance information and updating records accurately
- Conduct insurance verification by reviewing coverage details, benefits, and eligibility using managed care systems
- Collect and process patient documentation, including medical records, ensuring confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations
- Assist with appointment scheduling, rescheduling, and cancellations to optimize provider availability and patient flow
- Perform insurance billing support by understanding CPT coding (Current Procedural Terminology), ICD-9 (International Classification of Diseases, Ninth Revision), ICD-10 (Tenth Revision), and ICD coding standards for accurate claim submission
- Communicate effectively with insurance companies to resolve claim issues or discrepancies promptly
- Maintain organized medical records and ensure compliance with all privacy policies and healthcare regulations.
Experience
- Prior experience working in a medical or dental office environment is highly preferred
- Strong knowledge of managed care processes and insurance verification procedures
- Familiarity with medical terminology, medical records management, and medical coding practices including CPT, ICD-9, ICD-10, and ICD coding systems
- Experience handling HIPAA compliance requirements to protect patient privacy
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a busy office setting
- Excellent communication skills with a professional demeanor when interacting with patients, providers, and insurance representatives
