Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Apartment Painter/Maintenance technician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining the aesthetic appeal of residential apartment communities through expert painting and maintenance skills. Your proactive approach will ensure that all units and common areas are kept in pristine condition, providing residents with a safe, attractive, and welcoming environment.
Responsibilities
- Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, caulking, and repairing drywall or plaster to ensure optimal paint adhesion and finish quality
- Apply paint, stain, and coatings using brush, roller, spray gun (conventional or construction spray painting), or power tools to achieve smooth, even coverage on walls, ceilings, doors, trim, stucco, and other surfaces
- Perform general maintenance duties such as fixture installation, drywall repair, plastering, concrete finishing, and restoration work to uphold property standards
- Maintenance Technicians are a vital part of the property management team and essential in ensuring the upkeep of residential properties and providing safe and comfortable living environment for our residents.
- Perform general repairs to apartments including but not limited to patching and painting of drywall, changing of locks, interior/exterior painting, repair or adjusting entry doors, replacing light bulbs or fixtures, light plumbing of sinks and drains, electrical work such as changing outlets and fixtures with some supervision.
- Maintain property appearance including maintaining grounds and dumpster areas daily.
- Refurbish vacancies (Turnovers) including hanging cabinetry, painting, cleaning, and general maintenance repairs with some supervision.
Requirements:
The requirements listed below are representative of the qualifications necessary to perform the job:
- 1-2 experience in maintenance, residential painting, handyman, building trades or construction/remodel.
- Prior experience in apartment maintenance preferred.
- General knowledge of basic electrical, plumbing, and building systems.
- Ability to meet established deadlines.
- Personable, professional attitude.
- Own basic hand tools.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record required.
- Smart phone for time tracking capabilities.
