Work Schedule


Up to 25 hours per week within the following business hours:


Academic Year: Monday - Friday, 8am - 5pm
Summer Hours: Monday - Thursday, 7am - 6pm


Days and times will vary based on office needs.Extra hours available during peak enrollment periods (Jan and Aug).

Job Summary


The overall purpose of this position is to administer testing services to new, continuing and returning students; general student/office services such as proctoring various tests, coordinating testing appointments, communicating effectively with faculty/coworkers, answer incoming calls, assist people via chat, directing people to other services on campus, using Register Blast software to assist testers in all aspects of coordinating testing, other duties to assist students and the campus as needed.

ASRS participation is based on the position's Standard Hours as recorded in HCM. Employees in a single position (or in multiple positions with combined Standard Hours of 20 or more hours per week) are subject to ASRS deductions. Employees with fewer than 20 Standard Hours per week may still become ASRS-eligible if they work 20 or more hours per week for 20 or more weeks during the fiscal year.

Essential Functions


25% – Greet, assist, and verify new, continuing, and returning students and faculty utilizing Testing Services; provide information regarding testing procedures and requirements.


25% – Facilitate testing check-in and sign-in processes, ensure appropriate documentation is completed, and maintain accurate testing records.


25% – Proctor examinations in accordance with Testing Services policies; monitor testing environments to promote academic integrity and address testing-related concerns.


15% – Provide testing directions and instructions to students and faculty, respond to questions, and support a positive testing experience.


10% – Assist with maintaining GCC testing standards, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance, consistency, and quality service delivery.
