Position: Patient Access Team Lead - Clinic

Shift: Days
Schedule: 8:00am-4:30pm (Can vary 7:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.)
Weekend Rotation: On a rotating basis, be available to manage employee calls.
Position Summary:
As a working team lead, this position provides leadership to front-line staff in the Clinic Patient Access department in addition to working roles within the assigned team. Primary responsibilities include maintaining thorough knowledge of the tasks and duties within the team, providing positive leadership and support while offering regular feedback and reinforcement. The Team Lead will utilize available resources, tools, and procedures to complete accounts in assigned work queues and will serve as a primary resource for their team while monitoring productivity and accuracy. This position coordinates staff schedules, training, and education, including Excellian training.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma/GED equivalent
- Medical secretarial/administrative background and degree preferred, medical terminology proficient
- 2 years medical office environment experience required
- 1 year supervisory and/or leadership experience preferred
- Successful candidate will exhibit self-direction and strong leadership skills, excellent communication and customer service skills, and ability to work independently, while promoting and building a positive, service-oriented team environment
- Previous Excellian EMR experience is preferred
- Strong computer skillset essential; proficient in Windows-based computer systems required

Compensation decisions are made based off of several factors including relevant work experience, education, certification and licensure as well as internal equity. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at the top of their hourly range.
