Position Summary:
The Social Services Manager is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the delivery of social services to individuals and families in need. This role involves managing a team of social workers ensuring the effective implementation of programs, services, and policies. The Social Services Manager will also assess community needs, develop programs, and maintain relationships with community organizations, government agencies, and stakeholders to ensure clients receive the appropriate care and resources. This role will work collaboratively with the Clinic Patient Services Director for oversight of the clinic Social Worker.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor of Social Work and licensed (LSW) by the state of Minnesota.
- Experienced in assessing the needs of hospitalized patients.
- Prior experience in hospital or acute care setting preferred.
- Minimum of two years of leadership experience.
Required Skills and Abilities:
- Familiar with Case Management and monitoring processes that affect the delivery of quality health care.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work with a diverse population and be an active member of a multidisciplinary team.
- Knowledge of and ability to obtain community resources.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Demonstrated leadership experience with the ability to coach, mentor, and develop staff while fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and relationship-building skills with the ability to effectively collaborate across disciplines, manage conflict, and advocate for patients, residents, and families.
- Proven ability to lead complex programs and initiatives, make sound decisions during crisis situations, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and organizational standards.
Compensation and Benefits:
Compensation decisions are made based off of several factors including relevant work experience, education, certification and licensure as well as internal equity. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at the top of their hourly range.
Hourly Range:
$36.84 - $51.27
