Position: Technical Support Specialist Department: Information Technology Position Type: Full Time Schedule: 7:00am-3:30pm Hours/Pay Period: 80 Call Rotation: Will eventually be one week/month Holidays: Call Rotation Position Summary: The IT Technical Support Specialist is responsible for delivering end-user support, managing IT Service Desk operations, and maintaining systems across the organization. Responsibilities include responding to technical support requests, documenting and tracking issues, deploying and maintaining hardware and software, supporting enterprise applications and assisting with system upgrades, infrastructure projects and security compliance initiatives. This role also serves as a subject matter expert in specific technical areas and provides guidance to IT staff and end-users. Qualifications:
- Education:
- Associate or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Recommended technical competencies:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Windows OS, Microsoft 365, IT Service Management (ITSM) tools and common enterprise applications.
- Experience with hardware/software troubleshooting for desktops, laptops, printers and mobile devices.
- Understanding of networking, server management and Active Directory.
- Knowledge of ITIL best practices, cybersecurity principles, data protection and compliance standards.
