Position: Data Processing Specialist Department: Business Services Location: Glencoe, MN Remote Work: No Position Type: Full Time Hours Per 2-week Pay Period: 80 Shift: Days Schedule: Candidate can choose core hours between 7:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Weekend Rotation: No Holiday Rotation: No Position Summary: The data processing lead enters, reviews, and verifies patient charges and payment information into a billing system, ensuring accuracy and compliance with healthcare regulations. Key duties include processing financial transactions, applying payments, handling coding discrepancies, and communicating with hospital departments to resolve billing issues. This role requires strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and proficiency with medical billing and office software. Additionally, the data processing lead serves as the subject matter expert for the data processing functions, creating and updating tip sheets and mentoring to support staff accuracy and consistency. Education and Experience:
- High school graduate.
- Typing/10 key skills and Bookkeeping/record keeping experience.
- Six months to one year of experience working with third party insurance remittances/explanation of benefit forms.
- Knowledge and use of the Excellian Billing Software, TruBridge Revenue Cycle Solutions & various software utilized by the Finance & Long-Term Care departments.
- Knowledge and use of all types of Excellian Reporting software.
- Fluent in Windows-based computer applications and strong working knowledge of the internet.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to work independently. Adaptability to time constraints.
- Position requires tact and courtesy in dealing with patients, visitors, fellow employees, and external contacts.
- Possess initiative, logic, deductive reasoning, good judgment, and responsibility for decision making.
