What are the responsibilities and job description for the Ophthalmic Business Office Manager position at Glaucoma Consultants of Texas?
POSITION SUMMARY
Primary responsibilities will include ensuring that front office policies, medical billing, and patient care needs are executed in a smooth and expeditious manner. This position will also interface with the practice physicians. This is a hands-on position in a fast-paced practice which utilizes Electronic Medical Records (NextGen EPM/EMR) systems.
Duties include but are not limited to:
_ Assist with Revenue Management Reports and Patient Coordination_
_ Supervise day to day front office operations_
_ Coordinate Special Clinic Projects_
_ Supervise financial operations, including billing and coding and accounts payable_
Assist in implementing and supervising all HR policies
Coordinate day to day IT correspondence__
_ Maintain and manage all filing and organizational systems for the practice_
QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE:
_ A minimum of five years supervisory experience in a medical office setting. Ophthalmology experience is a plus_
Experience with NextGen EPM/EMR a plus
_ Strong computer skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications_
_ Professional communication and multi-tasking skills_
_ Well organized with high attention to detail_
