NOTICE OF VACANCY
POSITION: Reading and Writing Center Instructional Tutor
Glastonbury High School
WAGES: $26.50 per hour
SCHEDULE: 18 hours per week
Monday-Friday
DUTIES:
- Tutor high school students in reading and writing.
- Support students' reading and writing needs, including
database research, pre-writing, organizing, drafting, editing,
and revising
- Deliver small-group and whole class mini-lessons to support
- Support college/university interns in their work with students
- Promote and support creative writing opportunities for
- Manage RWC website and Google Classroom
QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s degree required.
Candidates should have a solid command of reading and writing,
the skills to engage students in literacy tasks, and the ability to
relate easily and work well with students and staff. The ability to
work well in small groups and follow teacher instructions. Good
communication skills. Strong interpersonal skills.
