What are the responsibilities and job description for the Teacher of Spanish position at Glassboro Public School District?
Glassboro Public Schools is currently a Spanish Teacher at Bowe Elementary School for the 2026-2027 School Year. This position begins September 1, 2026.
- Instruct students in Groups, using various teaching methods such as Lectures, Discussions and Demonstrations to enhance their communication and understanding of the Spanish language
- Encourage students to practice vocabularies learned and assist students in accurately listening, speaking, writing and reading Spanish
- Incorporate relevant Experience with Knowledge of Instructional Strategies and Classroom Practices for Spanish curriculum
- Utilize working Experience with Curricular Planning and Implementation
Minimum Requirements:
- State of NJ Certification (1550 - Teacher of Spanish) Required
- Extensive knowledge of the Spanish language, culture, and of pedagogy
- Ability to Work with a Diverse Population, Including Experience with ESL Students
- Ability to establish great communication with students, families and colleagues
- Successful Completion of Fingerprinting and Criminal History Review Process
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT :
This is a ten (10) month position with salary and contract terms to be negotiated with the Superintendent and the Board of Education.
EVALUATION :
Performance in this position will be evaluated annually in accordance with provisions of the Board’s policy on evaluation of personnel.
