Summary
This position is responsible for overseeing all labor related activities such as workplan management, managing crews, supervising leads and employees, and scheduling of key people. They must show leadership in any situation. Leadership refers to organizing the workplan, organizing crews, completing daily tasks, and communicating effectively with their manager. They must complete daily, and weekly goals set by the manager. A Supervisor must see problems before they happen on topics such as safety, cleanliness, production, and quality. They must speak to their leads with intention to resolve issues, with empathy, and provide guidance on the concerns.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

- Handle all leads equally, with respect and empathy.
- Be able to resolve conflicts between peers, report them, and follow up if needed.
- Delegate tasks that are not critical to the role of supervisor, such as sharpening scissors,
- Motivate all leads to maximize production and maintain a stable work environment.
- Demonstrate integrity with a “do the right thing” attitude.
- React quickly to resolve problems.
- Educate and train new leads on processes, cleanliness, quality, data entry, and
- Plan for the week, 1 week prior for tools, equipment, and PPE that the team will need to complete the workplan.
- Keep in mind the quality specifications that management is requesting, and hold leads responsible to these specs. Report back to the growing team for any quality issues that might affect production.
- Review data entered by leads, and make sure all information is true and correct.
- Validate data so that the entry weight matches the exit weight, if this does not happen, report to the manager after your own investigation.
- Make sure that the work area is kept organized, clean, and labelled with compliance in mind.
- Must go through compliance and Metrc training.
- Understand the usage cost for materials and costs associated with each job.
- Read and learn the SOP from all jobs within the department.
- Create a schedule for start times, break times, and end times for leads and key positions.
- Follow the workplan and communicate adjustment requests. Wait for manager approval before making changes.
- Schedule with transport for the availability of trucks for delivery of product and materials
- Maintain the quality of product.
- Approval of sick leave and vacation for leads and other key positions.
- Maintain quality specs and SOPs for every job in the department.
- Cover for leads, if needed.
- Oversee that leads communicate from one shift to another.
- Ensure accuracy of data and report any issues to the manager.
- Create a safe work environment to avoid injuries to employees. Report any issues to the
- Follow up on maintenance to resolve any issues with equipment.
- Report any issues with employees to the labor agency supervisor.
- Rotate with other supervisors for weekend and shift coverage.
- Communicate with other supervisors when they cover your area.
- Assist manager to drive the department for continuous improvement.
- Must cover multiple areas or departments, as needed, to fully support staff.
- Complete other tasks as assigned by the manager.

Education And/or Experience
- Prior cannabis or management experience, mandatory.
- Experience required using Microsoft Office programs.
- HS graduate or college and or university education preferred.
- Must be 21 years of age
- Bilingual preferred
- Able to work independently and in a team environment
- Ability to maintain a positive attitude
- Authorized to work in the United States
- This position requires a 40-hour minimum work week
- Must be able to write and communicate effectively with the entire team.
