Responsibilities
- Remove damaged or broken auto glass using hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment with precision and safety.
- Install new auto glass components, including windshields, side windows, rear windows, and specialty glass for various vehicle makes and models.
- Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles before and after installation to ensure proper fitment and safety compliance.
- Apply window tinting films when required, ensuring a clean finish free of bubbles or imperfections.
- Utilize knowledge of Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) calibration procedures following glass replacement to maintain vehicle safety features.
- Assist with vehicle maintenance tasks such as mechanical repairs or minor auto body work as needed to support overall vehicle servicing.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, ensuring all tools—including hand tools, power tools, and assembly equipment—are properly stored and maintained.
- Follow detailed installation procedures and adhere to safety standards at all times during the job process.
- Communicate effectively with team members and customers to explain services performed and ensure satisfaction.
Qualifications
- Prior dealership experience or background in automotive repair is highly preferred.
- Hands-on experience with auto glass installation, including handling heavy lifting safely.
- Knowledge of automotive systems such as ADAS technology and vehicle electronics.
- Familiarity with window tinting techniques and materials is a plus.
- Mechanical knowledge related to auto body repair, vehicle maintenance, or assembly processes.
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and auto estimating software is advantageous.
- Strong physical stamina for heavy lifting and standing for extended periods during installations.
