About the Role
The Capital Projects Manager is responsible for leading the execution of a large-scale capital project (~$36M) within a dairy manufacturing facility. You will ensure successful delivery from concept through commissioning while maintaining strict food safety, environmental, and safety compliance. As the Project Manager you will lead cross-functional teams and contractors to integrate new systems with minimal disruption to production.
Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end execution of capital project including design, procurement, construction, and startup.
- Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and KPIs, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- Manage contractor safety programs and enforce OSHA and EPA compliance standards.
- Manage contractors, vendors, and OEMs to ensure quality and schedule adherence.
- Track project budget (~$36M), manage forecasts, and control costs.
- Provide regular updates to leadership and stakeholders.
- Change Management of all scope, documents, drawings.
- Integrate the Project Team with the Plant Readiness Team to ensure smooth transition from project work to operations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, Food), Project Management or related field.
- 5 years of capital project experience in dairy or food manufacturing.
- Experience managing large projects ($20M ).
- Proficiency in project management tools such as MS Project or Primavera.
- Must be able to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds.
