Supervisor’s Title: Warehouse Supervisor

Department: Warehouse

Location: Orange Site

Exempt Status: Hourly

Pay: $19.55

Job Summary

Oversee the efficient operations in the warehouse.

Essential Functions

• Review and verify unloading of deliveries to ensure proper quantities have been received and paperwork is accurate.
• Receive material systematically into SAP
• Ensure FIFO is upheld within all inventory management processes
• Help to keep storage areas (supply rooms, warehouses etc.) clean and organized.
• Maintain records of shipments and work accomplished
• Keep work area clean and uncluttered and floors free of broken pieces of pallets
• Keep Warehouse ingredients, chemicals, and products organized and neat
• Inspect out going & in going loads for damage product
• Helps maintain a good safe work environment
• Maintains an accurate inventory at all times
• Maintains an audit ready warehouse at all times
• Stage & prep loads
• Sample product
• Takes active role in continuous improvement teams
• Complies with occupational safety and health standards and all rules, regulations, and orders issued pursuant to the Occupational Safety and Health Act which are applicable to his/her own actions and conduct.
• Complies with all applicable food safety regulations and mandates (Safe Quality Foods, Food and Drug Admin, Pasteurized Milk Ordinance)

• Ensure that trucks are loaded and unloaded correctly
• Regular and timely attendance required

Qualifications

• Must be able to operate a forklift while loading & unloading truck trailers of chemicals, pallets, products, and ingredients
• Must have experience working in ERP systems or warehouse management systems (preferably SAP)
• Must be dependable and trustworthy
• Must be able to work in a cold environment
• Self-motivated and ability to work with little supervision
• Must be able to lift at least 55 lbs consecutively
• Ability to operate (or learn to operate) necessary equipment
• Excellent record required in safety, attendance, and punctuality
• Ability to stand and walk the entire shift if needed
• Ability to read and write instructions in English
• Knowledge of the proper use of all cleaning chemicals
• Must be able to work weekends, and overtime as required

Physical Requirements

• Regularly involves, talking or listening, sitting and the use of hands and fingers.
• Regularly involves reaching with hands and arms, standing and walking.
• Occasionally involves crouching, stooping, kneeling and/or climbing or balancing.
• Must be able to lift and carry items weighing up to 55 pounds.
• Manual dexterity sufficient to reach/handle items, and work with the fingers.
• Should be able to identify and distinguish colors, see clearly at 20 inches or closer and 20 feet or more, observe an area that can be seen up and down or to the left and right while eyes are fixed on a given point, judge distances and spatial relationship, and adjust the eye to bring an object into sharp focus.
  
  

Typical Environmental Conditions

• May be exposed to moderate noise levels in which hearing protection will be needed.
• May be exposed to humidity, intense heat and cold, outdoor weather conditions, and fumes and toxic chemicals.
• May work in areas with mechanical moving parts, above ground with risk of fall, or areas with risk of electrical shock.
  
  

Travel Requirements

• Minimal to no overnight travel by land and/or air.
