Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Shipping and Receiving Clerk to join our dynamic logistics team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for managing the flow of goods into and out of our warehouse, ensuring accurate order fulfillment, proper inventory management, and seamless shipping logistics. Duties
- Receive incoming shipments by inspecting deliveries, verifying quantities, and recording data accurately using inventory management software and ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) systems
- Prepare outgoing shipments by selecting, packing, and labeling products according to shipping & receiving protocols and customer specifications
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and order pickers safely to load and unload trucks efficiently while adhering to safety standards
- Conduct stock counts, inventory management tasks, and reconcile discrepancies to maintain accurate stock levels
- Utilize warehouse management systems and data entry tools to track shipment statuses, update records, and generate reports
- Ensure compliance with international trade regulations and trade compliance requirements during order processing and shipment documentation
- Collaborate with warehouse distribution teams to optimize order picking, packing, stocking, and overall warehouse operations for maximum efficiency
Experience
- Prior experience working in a warehouse environment with a strong understanding of warehouse operations and logistics processes
- Proficiency in using inventory management software, ERP systems, Microsoft Office applications, and warehouse management systems
- Hands-on experience with shipping logistics including order fulfillment, packing techniques, labeling standards, and load & unload procedures
- Knowledge of trade compliance and international trade regulations is a plus
- Ability to perform basic math calculations accurately for inventory counts and shipping documentation
- Demonstrated customer service skills to effectively communicate with team members and external carriers
- Valid forklift certification or experience operating forklifts safely is preferred
