Portland, ME Full Time
POSTED ON 8/14/2026

Video Production Manager

Glacial is a large digital marketing and web development agency serving elective medical practices. We're looking for someone who lives and breathes video. Someone who can spot a great shot, write a scroll-stopping script, and knows exactly why one ad on Facebook or a YouTube pre-roll works and another falls flat.

You'll own video production at Glacial from end to end: coordinating shoots, shaping raw footage into finished assets, managing editors (bonus if you can edit in a pinch), and staying plugged into what's trending across ecommerce, social, and CTV so our clients' videos stay ahead of the curve.

While the day to day will vary, you'll work on a wide variety of tasks such as:

  • Coordinating video shoots and video production from start to finish, including travel to shoots roughly 1-2 times per month.
  • Creating shot lists, scripts, and clear video outcome objectives for each shoot, collaborating closely with our social, content, and PR departments.
  • Reviewing raw footage, identifying the strongest moments, and stitching together a rough cut or full edit yourself when needed.
  • Project managing the editing process, briefing editors, giving feedback, and keeping everything on schedule.
  • Acting as the video point of contact for clients: following up for photos and footage, and bringing them ideas, trends, and formats worth trying.
  • Redistributing finished assets across organic social, paid ads, websites, and wherever else they're needed.
  • Keeping a pulse on what's trending in video across industries — what's working in ecomm, on social, in CTV/OTT ads (think Mountain, Vibe) — and figuring out how it applies to our clients.
  • Competitive research: what formats are working, what isn't, and where there's an opening.

Requirements:

  • Ability to travel to video shoots roughly 1-2 times per month.
  • Taste and an ability to see and define what you want for an end result.
  • Proven experience coordinating and/or producing video content, ideally including shoots, scripting, and post-production.
  • A genuine eye for video. You can look at raw footage and know what to keep, and you can describe the end result before it exists.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills. You can juggle multiple shoots, editors, and client requests without dropping anything.
  • Comfortable being the regular point of contact for clients — following up, asking for assets, and pitching ideas.
  • Up to date on video trends across platforms and industries, and able to translate what's working elsewhere into something a client can use.
  • Strong verbal and written communication. Analytical, focused, and detail-oriented.
  • Ability to finish tasks to completion, on deadline, while juggling multiple projects.
  • Fluent English.

Preferred:

  • Hands-on video editing skills (Premiere, Final Cut, CapCut, or similar).
  • Experience producing content specifically for YouTube, paid social, and CTV/OTT.
  • Background in marketing, advertising, or agency work.
  • Experience in or familiarity with the medical, elective medical, or healthcare space.
  • A sense of humor.

We're flexible on work arrangements. In-office, hybrid, or remote can all work for the right person.

Reminder: You will be required to travel to client locations for video shoots (we have clients nationally) and attend a trade show or two a year.

We offer a stable work environment with benefits including health insurance and an excellent 401k program. If you're up for a challenge and want to be part of a team that strives for excellence, please get in touch.

To apply: Send your resume along with a couple links to videos you think are well done — either ones you made yourself or ones that represent your creative direction and the kind of work we should be aiming to make for our clients.
