TEMPORARY (As Need Basis) Scale House Operator - Mina

Position Title: Scale House Operator (Temporary – As Needed Basis)
Location: Mina, SD

Company Overview:
Glacial Lakes Energy, LLC (GLE), a leader in the corn ethanol industry, is seeking a Temporary Scale House Operator to join our team in Mina, SD. This position will work on an as-needed basis to support plant operations.

Position Summary:
The Scale House Operator is responsible for weighing and ticketing all inbound and outbound loads, operating the grain scale(s), and performing grain probing and grading in accordance with GLE policies and procedures. This role requires attention to detail, strong customer service skills, and adherence to safety and quality standards.

Essential Job Functions:

• Weigh and ticket all inbound and outbound trucks.

• Operate grain scale(s) accurately and efficiently.

• Probe and grade grain according to GLE standards and procedures.

• Maintain a friendly and professional atmosphere while providing exceptional customer service to grain haulers and internal staff.

• Follow all company safety regulations and report any safety issues immediately to a supervisor or safety coordinator.

• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.

• Demonstrate dependability by completing tasks accurately, thoroughly, and in a timely manner.

• Consistently practice safe work habits as a condition of employment.

Education, Experience, and Competencies:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.

• Prior grain grading experience highly preferred.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

• Excellent interpersonal and customer service abilities.

• Basic computer knowledge and ability to multitask.

• Must be able to read, write, and communicate clearly in English, and give accurate verbal and written instructions.
