house staff

ScatterGun Lodge is looking for hardworking, dependable, and detail-oriented House Staff to join our team at our premier South Dakota pheasant hunting lodge.

At ScatterGun, we believe that great hospitality is just as important as a great hunt. Our guests come for the pheasant hunting experience, but it's the people, atmosphere, and attention to detail that keep them coming back.

We're looking for team members who take pride in their work, enjoy being part of a close-knit crew, and understand the importance of making every guest feel welcome.

Position Responsibilities

As a member of our House Staff, you'll help maintain the cleanliness, comfort, and overall presentation of the lodge while assisting with daily hospitality operations.

Responsibilities include:

• Clean and prepare guest rooms, including changing linens, making beds, cleaning bathrooms, and restocking supplies.
• Maintain cleanliness throughout the lodge, including the front entrance, apparel and pro shop areas, bar, dining hall, upstairs common areas, and fireplace courtyards.
• Wash, dry, fold, and organize linens, towels, and other laundry.
• Assist with dining room setup, table settings, meal service, and cleanup.
• Help reset and organize the bar and gathering areas for guest activities.
• Keep common areas clean, organized, and welcoming throughout the day.
• Assist with guest arrivals, departures, and room turnovers.
• Report maintenance concerns or supply shortages to the Head of House.
• Assist with deep cleaning and general lodge upkeep as needed.
• Work alongside the Head of House, kitchen staff, and lodge management to provide an exceptional guest experience.

What We're Looking For

• Dependable, punctual, and hardworking individuals.
• A positive attitude and willingness to be part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail and pride in a job well done.
• Ability to follow directions and work independently when needed.
• Willingness to help wherever needed during busy periods.
• Ability to stay organized and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Flexibility to work weekends and holidays during hunting season.
• Previous housekeeping or hospitality experience is a plus, but we're willing to train the right person!
