Forklift Operator – Packhouse/Warehouse Environment
We are seeking experienced Forklift Operators to support daily warehouse and shipping operations in a fast-paced production environment. This role is responsible for safely moving, loading, unloading, and organizing products while maintaining accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with safety and food quality standards.
Pay Rate:
$17.50 – $18.50 per hour
Seasonal Openings:
- 1 position: June 1st – October 30th
- 2 positions: June 29th – October 30th
- 1 position: August 3rd – October 30th
- Additional temporary support may be needed for several weeks during peak season
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts and material handling equipment safely and efficiently
- Load and unload inbound and outbound shipments
- Move products between receiving, production, storage, and shipping areas
- Verify shipment quantities and maintain inventory accuracy
- Follow FIFO procedures and lot traceability standards
- Perform daily equipment inspections and report maintenance issues
- Assist with inventory counts and warehouse organization
- Maintain clean work areas and follow GMP and safety guidelines
Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years of forklift experience in warehouse, manufacturing, or food production environments
- Experience working in fast-paced, high-volume operations preferred
- Familiarity with scanners or warehouse management systems is a plus
- Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Work Environment:
- Indoor cooler/warehouse environment
- Requires standing, lifting, and working around machinery and moving vehicles
- Overtime, weekends, and night shifts may be required during peak periods
- Must follow all safety protocols and wear required protective equipment
