We are seeking an experienced PCB Design Engineer to design and develop high-performance PCBs for RF, microwave, mixed-signal, analog, and digital applications operating from MHz through multi-GHz frequencies. The ideal candidate will have strong experience with RF PCB design, controlled impedance, signal integrity, PCB fabrication, and high-frequency materials.
Key Responsibilities
- Design single- and multilayer PCB layouts for RF, microwave, analog, digital, and mixed-signal applications.
- Develop controlled-impedance structures including microstrip, stripline, and CPWG.
- Optimize component placement and routing for signal integrity, isolation, grounding, shielding, and thermal performance.
- Design and support RF circuits while minimizing EMI/EMC, crosstalk, and parasitics.
- Develop PCB stack-ups using RF materials such as Rogers and hybrid constructions.
- Generate fabrication and assembly documentation, including Gerber/ODB , drill files, drawings, and stack-up definitions.
- Collaborate with Electrical Engineering, Manufacturing, and PCB fabricators to ensure performance and manufacturability.
- Participate in design reviews and troubleshoot PCB-related manufacturing and assembly issues.
- Maintain engineering documentation and follow applicable IPC and high-reliability design standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.
- 5 years of PCB design/layout experience, preferably with RF/microwave or high-frequency applications.
- Proficiency with Altium Designer, Cadence Allegro, or Mentor Graphics PADS.
- Strong knowledge of controlled impedance, signal integrity, EMI/EMC, grounding, shielding, RF materials, and PCB fabrication.
- Familiarity with IPC standards and high-reliability design practices.
- Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work with ITAR-controlled data without a license, as required.
