Maintenance Mechanic (Electrical Background Required)

Pay: $30.00 per hour
Schedule: Full-time

Position Summary

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic with a strong electrical background to join our maintenance team. This position is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining manufacturing equipment and facility systems to minimize downtime and ensure safe, efficient operations. The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, experienced with industrial electrical systems, and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production equipment and facility machinery.

• Diagnose and repair electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.

• Install, replace, and maintain motors, drives, sensors, relays, switches, and control components.

• Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals.

• Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on manufacturing equipment.

• Troubleshoot PLC-controlled equipment (basic PLC knowledge preferred).

• Respond quickly to equipment breakdowns to minimize production downtime.

• Complete work orders and accurately document repairs and maintenance activities.

• Maintain a clean and safe work environment while following all OSHA and company safety procedures.

• Assist with equipment installations, upgrades, and continuous improvement projects.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; technical or vocational training preferred.

• 3 years of industrial maintenance experience.

• Strong electrical troubleshooting experience with 120V, 240V, and 480V systems.

• Experience with motors, conveyors, pumps, compressors, and production equipment.

• Ability to read electrical diagrams and mechanical drawings.

• Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, bearings, gearboxes, and power transmission systems.

• Basic PLC troubleshooting experience is preferred.

• Welding and fabrication experience is a plus.

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a manufacturing environment.
