Job Description – Lumper (Food Distribution Warehouse)
Position: Lumper
Location: Medley, FL
Pay Rate: $16.00 per hour
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM (some days may begin as early as 6:00 AM)
We are seeking hardworking and reliable Lumpers to join a food distribution company that supplies products to cruise ships. This is a physically demanding warehouse position involving the unloading and handling of food products in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Unload containers manually and safely.
- Move, stack, and organize food products throughout the warehouse.
- Load and unload pallets as needed.
- Assist with general warehouse duties to support daily operations.
- Follow all safety procedures and company policies.
- Work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Occasionally work inside refrigerated/cold storage areas (not for the entire shift).
Requirements:
- Ability to perform physically demanding work and lift heavy objects throughout the day.
- Previous warehouse or lumper experience is preferred but not required.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be dependable, punctual, and able to work as part of a team.
- Ability to occasionally work in cold storage environments.
- Steel-toe or work boots are preferred.
