As a Marketing coordinator for Greenlight, you'll be responsible for creating visually appealing product displays, optimizing retail layouts, and developing merchandising strategies to drive sales and enhance customer experience. Leveraging your creativity and attention to detail, you'll curate product assortments, plan promotional campaigns, and analyze sales data to identify trends and opportunities. Your passion for cannabis culture and your knack for storytelling will help us showcase our products in a compelling way and establish our brand as a leader in the industry.


Duties and responsibilities

  • Develop and execute merchandising strategies to maximize sales and profitability across retail locations, online channels, and other sales channels.
  • Collaborate with product teams, marketing, and creative teams to develop seasonal product assortments, promotional campaigns, and themed displays.
  • Plan and execute product launches, coordinating with vendors, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to ensure timely availability of merchandise.
  • Create visually engaging displays and signage to highlight featured products, promotions, and brand messaging, ensuring alignment with brand standards and regulatory guidelines.
  • Monitor inventory levels and sales performance, analyzing data insights to optimize product placement, pricing strategies, and inventory replenishment.
  • Conduct regular store visits and audits to assess merchandising standards, address any issues or opportunities for improvement, and provide training and guidance to store staff.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and customer preferences, incorporating insights into merchandising strategies and product selection.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to coordinate marketing events, product demonstrations, and customer engagement activities to drive foot traffic and sales.

Knowledge, skills and abilities

Knowledge

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, business administration, retail management, or related field.
  • Proven experience (3 years) in retail merchandising, preferably in the cannabis industry or a similar regulated environment.
  • Strong understanding of retail principles, including product assortment planning, visual merchandising, and inventory management.

Skills

  • Creative flair and visual storytelling skills, with the ability to create compelling product displays and environments that resonate with target audiences.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret sales data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally and communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced retail environment.
  • Familiarity with cannabis regulations and compliance considerations related to retail merchandising and product labeling.
  • Experience with retail merchandising software and tools for planogram design, space optimization, and inventory management.
  • Knowledge of retail marketing techniques, including promotions, events, and loyalty programs.
  • Understanding retail math and financial metrics, including sales forecasting, gross margin, and inventory turnover.
  • Passion for cannabis culture and industry trends, with a desire to stay informed about emerging products and market opportunities.

Abilities

  • This role may involve some travel to retail locations, attending trade shows, or participating in industry events.
