Duties and responsibilities
- Develop and execute merchandising strategies to maximize sales and profitability across retail locations, online channels, and other sales channels.
- Collaborate with product teams, marketing, and creative teams to develop seasonal product assortments, promotional campaigns, and themed displays.
- Plan and execute product launches, coordinating with vendors, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to ensure timely availability of merchandise.
- Create visually engaging displays and signage to highlight featured products, promotions, and brand messaging, ensuring alignment with brand standards and regulatory guidelines.
- Monitor inventory levels and sales performance, analyzing data insights to optimize product placement, pricing strategies, and inventory replenishment.
- Conduct regular store visits and audits to assess merchandising standards, address any issues or opportunities for improvement, and provide training and guidance to store staff.
- Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and customer preferences, incorporating insights into merchandising strategies and product selection.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to coordinate marketing events, product demonstrations, and customer engagement activities to drive foot traffic and sales.

Knowledge, skills and abilities
Knowledge
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, business administration, retail management, or related field.
- Proven experience (3 years) in retail merchandising, preferably in the cannabis industry or a similar regulated environment.
- Strong understanding of retail principles, including product assortment planning, visual merchandising, and inventory management.
