PRIMARY QUALIFICATIONS
- Science degree with strong laboratory experience is preferred, or High school diploma or equivalent with equivalent work experience.
- 2-3 years experience in manufacturing operations background (food or chemical preferred) desired.
- Minimum 2-3 years laboratory work experience
- SAP experience is required
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
Maintaining responsibilities of main area while helping out in secondary area
- Perform analytical testing: Flash Point, Refractive Index/Brix, Specific Gravity, PH, Alcohol. Others as instructed.
- Perform sensory analysis: Appearance, Aroma, and Taste
- Evaluate formulas to determine estimated flashpoint and alcohol content.
- Record testing results in applicable systems: Database, QMS, SAP
- Ability to identify incorrect test results and issues with testing equipment.
- Perform equipment calibrations/verifications to maintain and ensure accurate records.
- Maintain, organize, and discard retain samples.
- Restock, trigger reordering, and organize supplies as needed.
- Create/run reports to review data for accuracy.
- Create/run reports for testing summaries and to request untested samples from Flavorists.
- Review and properly execute GSD requests
- Create new specifications for materials in SAP-GDMS report.
- Execute all specification changes through GSD requests
- Perform impact analysis required for specification changes
- Complete SAP workflows for industrialization
- Provides guidance and feedback for additions to existing specifications.
Other Responsibilities (10%)
- Participates and/or manages approval packets
- Maintain a clean and well organized work area.
- Excellent attendance, flexibility, enthusiasm and a positive approach to work performance
- Ability to efficiently train others in main area
- Other tasks as assigned

- Computer skills including Microsoft Office
- Must possess strong written and verbal English skills and be able to read and explain technical documentation to others

BASIC FUNCTION
- Under general supervision, main daily duties include :evaluating samples by performing analytical testing and recording results in SAP EHS system.
- Performs basic troubleshooting and calibrations on equipment. Executes and distributes daily and weekly reports.
- sets up new specifications and changes existing specifications, while analyzing impact to customer documentation.
