Architectural and Civil Engineering firm (civil, structural, sprinkler) seeking a Junior Architect for various project types. Giuseppe Bonomo Architecture is poised to grow, and this position would be a key pillar in helping to drive that growth.
Office is located within 1 block of the Staten Island Rapid Transit and bus stop.
Prospective applicants should be organized, dependable, detail oriented and has the ability to multi-task between different projects.
Seeking one of each of the following:
1. Architectural production drawing candidate with a minimum 3 years recent experience with wood frame construction.
2. Civil engineering project manager, must be experienced with filing applications at the Department of Environmental Protection for House and Site Connections. Cross Connection Control Unit. Department of Transportation for Builders Pavement Plans. Department of Parks and Recreation for tree planting.
Candidate Qualifications
C.A.D. drafting experience
Residential and wood frame construction drawing experience. - A must!
Exceptional drawing and graphic skills.
Working knowledge of NYC Department of Buildings procedure.
Well organized and able to interact with clients.
Prospective applicants should be self-motivated, well rounded, and capable of multi-tasking across projects with minimal supervision.
Preference will be given to candidates with:
Access to a form of transportation.
Type II Filing Representative license with the DOB (if not must be willing to acquire license)
Fluent with Adobe Acrobat, Photoshop, 3d Max, Revit, Google Sketchup or some version of computer aided rendering, All Microsoft Office Applications (Excel, etc)
Construction field background.
Ability to site survey.
Well-spoken with clear and effective writing skills.
Hand drafting origins and training.
Education:
A minimum of 1–2-year(s) work experience in architectural office setting or equivalent.
Bachelor’s Degree is recommended.

This is a FULL-TIME position. Work schedule is Monday-Friday, 9:00am-5:00pm.
