Job Responsibility:
The Tutor is a part-time position that is responsible for:
- Providing supportive engagement and instruction to help girls achieve success in an onsite virtual school environment
- Facilitating interactive classroom lessons/projects to girls ages 5-18 that will provide the girls an opportunity to investigate, explore, create, observe, discover, ask questions, and solve problems
- Implementing lessons that will foster an active learning environment which encourages individual and cooperative learning concepts
- Classroom management and the ability to handle situations that involve delicate situations around behaviors of children
- Incorporate interactive, hands-on experiences into the classroom
- Speak knowledgeably about different programs/events offered by Girls Incorporated of Greater Atlanta
Job Qualifications:
- Enthusiastic team player with a bachelor’s degree in Education, or a related field with 1- 2 years’
- Be available to work up to 20
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Effectively interface with parents, staff and administrators
- Serve as a positive role model for children ages 5 -18
- Must be able to pass a criminal record check, child abuse & neglect check, drug test
