Ginghamsburg Church is seeking a passionate, gifted, and visionary Worship Director to lead our congregation in authentic and vibrant worship. This individual will be responsible for cultivating a worship culture that draws people into a deeper relationship with God, fosters spiritual growth, and effectively supports the overall vision of the church.
The Worship Director will provide spiritual and creative leadership for all aspects of the church's worship ministry. This includes planning and executing engaging and high-quality worship services, developing and discipling worship teams, and overseeing technical production.
Position: Worship Director / Full-Time, Salary, Exempt
Reports to: Executive Pastor
Work Schedule: Sunday - Thursday

Education and Experience:
- Experience: At least 5 years of experience leading worship in a church setting.
- Musical Proficiency: Strong proficiency with a primary instrument (e.g., guitar, piano).

Key Responsibilities:
Worship Leadership & Planning:
- Plan, lead, and organize weekly worship services, youth group (YG) worship, special events, and other gatherings.
- Select songs and musical elements that align with sermon themes, felt needs, and the church’s vision for worship.
- Oversee the order of service, including prayer, scripture reading, communion, and other liturgical elements.
- Introduce new worship songs and creative elements that enhance the worship experience while maintaining biblical fidelity.
- Collaborate closely with the lead pastor to ensure worship services complement and reinforce the preached Word.
- Continuously evaluate and improve the worship experience to ensure it is engaging, relevant, and Spirit-led.
- Stay up to date with broader nationwide trends related to worship and worship design.
- Have a ‘big-picture’ vision for the Sunday morning worship experience and how it supports the greater mission of Ginghamsburg Church.
Team Development & Discipleship:
- Recruit, audition, train, and schedule musicians, vocalists, and worship leaders.
- Foster a healthy and encouraging environment for all worship team members.
- Provide ongoing coaching, feedback, and skill development for individuals and the team as a whole.
- Implement a structured rehearsal schedule that ensures preparedness for all services.
- Identify and raise up new worship leaders from within the congregation.
- Encourage spiritual growth and maturity among worship team members through prayer, Bible study, and relational discipleship.
Technical & Production Oversight:
- Oversee sound, lighting, projection, and media elements for worship services and events in conjunction with other staff members.
- Recruit, train, and manage volunteer technical teams (sound engineers, lighting operators, media operators, camera operators, etc.) in conjunction with other staff members.
- Ensure worship technology is well-maintained, functional, and up-to-date in conjunction with other staff members.
- Work seamlessly with hospitality team leads to ensure continuity between hospitality and worship teams during worship services.
- Explore and implement new technologies to enhance the worship experience.
Administrative & Pastoral:
- Responsibly develop and manage the worship ministry budget, including equipment purchases and maintenance.
- Maintain an organized system for worship planning, scheduling, and resource management.
- Communicate effectively with staff, volunteers, and congregation.
- Participate in staff meetings, retreats, and other church events.
