Role Description The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) will provide hands-on, non-medical personal care and support to clients in their homes for Caroline, Kent, Queen Anne's and Talbot counties in MD. This full-time, on-site role involves assisting with activities of daily living such as bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, and mobility, as well as helping with light housekeeping, meal preparation, and medication reminders as directed. The CNA will offer companionship, observe and report changes in clients’ condition to supervisors, and follow individualized care plans to promote safety and independence. The role also includes maintaining accurate documentation, respecting client confidentiality, and collaborating with the care team to ensure consistent, high-quality service.
Qualifications
- Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in the state of Maryland and compliance with all relevant regulations.
- Experience providing personal care, including assistance with bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, and safe transfers or mobility support.
- Ability to offer compassionate companionship, emotional support, and clear communication with clients, families, and colleagues.
- Skills in basic home management tasks such as light housekeeping, meal preparation, and following care plans and safety procedures.
- Strong observation and documentation skills to identify and report changes in clients’ condition in a timely manner.
- Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently in clients’ homes while maintaining professional boundaries and confidentiality.
- High school diploma or equivalent; prior home care, assisted living, or long-term care experience is preferred.
- Ability to meet physical demands of the role, including lifting, bending, and prolonged standing, and reliable transportation to client homes for Caroline, Kent, Queen Anne's and Talbot counties in MD.
