Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Barista to join our café team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional customer service, prepare high-quality coffee and food items, and maintain a clean and welcoming environment. Duties
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages and food items according to company standards
- Operate POS systems including Aloha POS and Micros POS for order processing and payments
- Manage cash handling accurately, including cashing out customers and balancing registers
- Ensure food safety and proper food handling procedures are followed at all times
- Maintain cleanliness of workstations, equipment, and dining areas in compliance with health regulations
- Assist customers with menu selections, answer questions, and provide excellent customer service
- Restock supplies as needed and assist in food preparation when required
- Uphold the café’s standards for quality, speed, and friendliness during all interactions
Skills
- Previous Barista experience or Coffee experience preferred but not required; training will be provided
- Proficiency with Aloha POS, Micros POS, or similar systems
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly, approachable demeanor
- Effective time management skills to handle busy periods efficiently
- Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math, and accurate order processing
- Knowledge of food safety, food handling, and food preparation standards in a café or food industry setting
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills to engage with customers and team members effectively
