Responsibilities
- Assist in cake decorating, pastry preparation, and food presentation to ensure visually appealing products
- Package baked goods and assist with food handling to maintain freshness and quality
- Support food production processes, including baking, cooking, and food preparation tasks
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bakery area, including equipment and workstations
- Provide excellent customer service by answering questions, offering product recommendations, and ensuring a positive shopping experience
- Follow food safety protocols and proper handling procedures at all times
- Assist with catering orders and special event preparations as needed
- Operate kitchen tools safely, including knives and other baking equipment
- Restock display cases and ensure products are properly labeled and displayed
Qualifications
- Previous experience in baking, pastry arts, or culinary fields is highly desirable
- Knowledge of cake decorating, food production, and food safety standards
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly attitude
- Ability to handle food safely and maintain cleanliness in a fast-paced environment
- Kitchen experience or restaurant background is a plus
- Basic knife skills and familiarity with baking techniques preferred
- Passion for baking, cooking, or the food industry with an eagerness to learn new skills
- Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team
