3rd Grade - Classroom Aide

Job Summary

We are seeking a caring and dependable 3rd Grade Aide to support the classroom teacher in fostering a positive, engaging, and structured learning environment. The ideal candidate enjoys working with elementary-aged students and is committed to supporting their academic, social, and emotional growth.

Responsibilities

• Assist the lead teacher with daily classroom routines and instructional activities

• Provide individual and small-group support to reinforce lessons in reading, writing, and math

• Help maintain a structured, organized, and positive classroom environment

• Supervise students during transitions, recess, lunch, and other non-instructional times

• Support classroom management and encourage respectful, responsible behavior

• Assist with preparation of instructional materials and classroom organization

• Encourage student independence, responsibility, and engagement in learning

• Communicate effectively with the teacher regarding student progress and needs

• Participate in staff meetings, training, and professional development as appropriate

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required (Paraprofessional Certification or Bachelor’s Degree preferred)

• Experience working with elementary-aged children in a school or educational setting preferred

• Patience, flexibility, and a genuine interest in working with children

• Strong communication and collaboration skills

• Ability to follow directions and support classroom instruction

• CPR and First Aid Certification (required or willingness to obtain)
