Job Summary
Gilman Precision is seeking an experienced Spindle Repair Technician to join our 1st shift team. This role focuses on the repair, rebuilding, and precision machining of industrial spindles and related components. The ideal candidate has strong manual machining skills and a solid toolroom background or experienced as a CNC Repair technician.
Responsibilities
- Disassemble, inspect, repair, and rebuild precision spindles
- Operate toolroom machines to manufacture or modify components
- Read and interpret mechanical drawings and specifications
- Use precision measuring instruments to verify tolerances
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Experience with manual machining (Bridgeport mills and/or lathes)
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Preferred Qualifications
- Spindle repair or rotating equipment experience
- Experience working to tight tolerances
- Background in precision manufacturing or repair environments
