What are the responsibilities and job description for the Metal Stud Framer position at Gillmann Services, Inc.?
Gillmann Services is NOW HIRING carpenters with extensive metal stud framing and drywall experience for a commercial project near Spartanburg, SC. Project duration one year or more.
Start ASAP. Pay $25/hr and $100 a day per diem (PER DAY WORKED), working 10-hour shifts. 13 days on, one day off. Must have or be willing to obtain an OSHA 10.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately measure and cut metal framing for installation
- Read and interpret blueprints to ensure accurate installation of studs
- Perform all steps of drywall hanging as a team
- Hang walls, top-outs, ceilings, insulated metal panels
- Inspect framing surfaces, materials for imperfections, mark for repair
- Follow all safety guidelines and maintain a clean work area
- Use all required hand and power tools
- Other duties as required
Requirements:
- 3 years experience with metal stud framing, drywall installation
- Knowledge of all required hand and power tools, have own hand tools for work required
- Experience with all types of commercial drywall boards
- Ability to make accurate measurements using tapes, squares, straightedges etc.
- Ability to work without direct supervision and maintain productivity
- Must consent to and pass a background check and drug test
- Must adhere to onsite safety and PPE guidelines at all times
- Must have reliable transportation and be available to work hours specified (12 hours/day, 13 days on 1 day off)
