SUMMARY: The Entry-Level Plumbing Apprentice supports the installation and assembly of plumbing systems in a construction and job-site environment. This position is ideal for individuals looking to start or continue a career in plumbing and offers hands-on training under experienced plumbers and supervisors.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Plumbing experience is preferred but is not required
- Ability to use basic hand tools to cut, assemble, and connect plumbing materials
- Willingness to learn and advance in the plumbing industry
- Ability to take direction, ask questions, and learn the plumbing trade
- Attention to detail and quality workmanship is a must
- Willingness to participate in training programs to pursue a Journeyman license
- Learn to read and interpret shop drawings and specifications
- Look over the website TSBPE.texas.gov as it will be part of your future
TEAMWORK:
- Demonstrates and promotes a spirit of cooperation and teamwork throughout the company
- Works collaboratively with supervisors and fellow team members
- Continually looks for ways to improve processes, efficiency, and personal performance
CUSTOMER SERVICE:
- Performs all duties with a focus on quality and customer satisfaction
- Supports Company efforts to meet production schedules and customer requirements
- Communicates professionally with supervisors and team members to resolve issues
SAFETY:
- Follows all Company safety programs and policies
- Uses required PPE at all times when appropriate
- Reports unsafe conditions, accidents, or injuries to the Supervisor or Safety Manager immediately
- Completes all assigned safety training within required timeframes
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
- High school diploma or GED
- Willingness to learn plumbing concepts and processes
- Basic math and measuring skills
- Ability to use hand tools safely
- Strong work ethic and reliability
- Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., climb ladders, and stand for extended periods
