The opportunity:
The primary function of the Spinning Technician is to make sure the spin frames run effectively and efficiently.
- Check air frame suction.
- Blow out piecers, doffers, shuttles, starter stations, tube/cone elevators.
- Check Sliver monitors.
- Check and maintain piecer station.
- Repair positions flagged by Quality Control or the spinner.
- Change tugger batteries.
- Operate lift tugger.
- Change out defective poor drive motors.
- Maintain and clean casters on the sliver trailers/carts.
- Ability to lift and install motors.
- Push and pull cart around.
- Climb ladder for repairs.
- Ability to drive lift trucks.

The requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Associate degree in Machines/PLC’s preferred or equivalent job experience (1-2 years) in a cotton industry.
- Ability to walk/be on feet for 12-hour shifts
- Good Reliability and willingness to learn
- Ability to work in a cotton dust environment
