SENIOR ACCOUNTANT
POSITION OVERVIEW: We are seeking a hands-on, detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our finance team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and wants to be embedded within the business, contributing to both day-to-day accounting operations and broader financial insights.
This individual will play a key role in strengthening our financial infrastructure, supporting project-based accounting, and driving accurate and timely financial reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
· Support and execute the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes
· Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statements
· Analyze project profitability, including tracking hours and costs against budget
· Partner with operations to provide financial insight into job performance and margins
· Maintain and improve ERP system utilization
· Assist in developing and refining accounting processes and internal controls
· Perform variance analysis and provide actionable recommendations
· Support audits and work with external partners as needed
· Leverage advanced Excel skills for reporting, modeling, and analysis
Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
· 5 years of accounting experience, preferably within an operational or project-based environment
· Strong ERP experience (Acumatica highly preferred)
· Proven experience with project accounting and cost tracking
· Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, lookups, data analysis)
· Solid understanding of financial reporting and month-end close processes
· Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
· Ability to work independently and operate with a sense of urgency
