Responsibilities
- Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that stimulate cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development for children across various age groups including infants, toddlers, and preschoolers.
- Provide attentive care to children’s basic needs such as feeding, diapering, and hygiene routines while maintaining a safe and clean environment.
- Monitor children’s behavior to encourage positive interactions and effective behavior management strategies.
- Maintain open communication with parents or guardians regarding children’s progress, daily activities, and any concerns.
- Ensure compliance with all safety protocols, including first aid procedures and emergency response plans.
- Support classroom management by organizing materials, setting up learning stations, and maintaining an engaging learning environment.
- Collaborate with team members to develop individualized care plans for children with special needs or disabilities, integrating special education techniques as needed.
Experience
- Prior experience working with children in a daycare, preschool, nannying, babysitting, or classroom setting is highly preferred.
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices.
- Demonstrated ability to manage classroom dynamics effectively while fostering a positive learning atmosphere.
- Experience in working with individuals with disabilities or special needs is a valuable asset.
- Certification in first aid and CPR is desirable; ongoing training in behavior management and caregiving techniques is beneficial.
- Familiarity with infant care, toddler care, preschool activities, and classroom management strategies enhances your ability to succeed in this role.
