What are the responsibilities and job description for the Daycare Assistant Teacher position at Dawn Til Dusk Daycare?
Responsibilities:
- Participate in age-appropriate lesson plans and activities for children
- Provide a safe and nurturing environment for children to learn and grow
- Supervise and engage with children during playtime, meals, and naptime
- Maintain open and effective communication with parents regarding their child's progress
- Monitor and ensure the safety of all children in the daycare facility
- Assist in maintaining a clean and organized classroom environment
- Collaborate with other daycare staff to plan and coordinate events and activities
Skills:
- Experience working with toddlers and preschool-aged children, providing age-appropriate care and education
- Strong understanding of child development principles and practices
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and fellow staff members
- Ability to manage a classroom setting, including behavior management techniques
- Previous experience in babysitting, nannying, or caregiving roles is highly beneficial
