AI Engineer

We are seeking a talented and ambitious AI Engineer to help design, build, and improve AI-powered systems for a rapidly growing organization. The AI Engineer will be responsible for developing, testing, and maintaining artificial intelligence features across company products, workflows, and internal systems. This may include working with large language models, prompt workflows, structured data extraction, recommendation logic, candidate/job matching, automation tools, AI scoring systems, data pipelines, and API integrations.

This position requires both technical depth and practical judgment. The AI Engineer should be able to evaluate model outputs, improve reliability, reduce errors, and create systems that are useful in real-world business settings. The role will involve close collaboration with product, design, engineering, and leadership teams.

The successful candidate will not simply experiment with AI tools, but will help turn AI concepts into dependable features that can be used by customers, internal teams, and business partners.

• Design, develop, and maintain AI-powered product features and internal automation tools.
• Build systems that use large language models, AI APIs, machine learning tools, and structured output workflows.
• Develop prompt strategies, validation rules, scoring logic, and response formatting for AI-driven features.
• Integrate AI services with web applications, databases, APIs, and backend systems.
• Build and improve tools for job matching, applicant evaluation, resume analysis, classification, ranking, summarization, and recommendations.
• Work with structured and unstructured data, including resumes, job descriptions, user profiles, application records, and business documents.
• Create testing and evaluation methods to measure AI output quality, consistency, and accuracy.
• Monitor AI performance and help identify areas where model responses need improvement.
• Develop fallback logic, error handling, and guardrails to make AI systems more reliable.
• Collaborate with developers to deploy AI features into production environments.
• Work with product and business teams to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Research and evaluate AI tools, APIs, frameworks, and model capabilities.
• Document technical decisions, workflows, prompts, system behavior, and implementation details.
• Help improve internal productivity through AI-assisted workflows and automation.
• Stay current with emerging AI engineering practices, model capabilities, and applied AI trends.

• 4 years of professional software engineering experience.
• Strong programming experience with Python.
• Hands-on experience working with AI APIs, large language models, machine learning tools, or AI-enabled applications.
• Experience building backend services, automation workflows, data-processing scripts, or API-driven systems.
• Strong understanding of REST APIs, JSON, databases, authentication, and cloud-based services.
• Ability to write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.
• Experience testing, debugging, and improving AI outputs.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, ambitious, and evolving company environment.

• Experience with OpenAI, Anthropic Claude, Google Gemini, or other LLM providers.
• Experience with prompt engineering, structured outputs, function calling, tool use, or agent workflows.
• Experience with embeddings, vector search, retrieval-augmented generation, or semantic search.
• Experience with LangChain, LlamaIndex, Hugging Face, Pinecone, Weaviate, Chroma, or similar AI tools.
• Experience with SQL, PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, or similar databases.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Experience with recruiting technology, job platforms, HR technology, applicant tracking systems, or candidate matching systems.
• Familiarity with model evaluation, hallucination reduction, data validation, and AI safety practices.
• Experience working in a startup, SaaS company, or rapidly scaling technology environment.
