What You'll Do
As our QC / Shipping & Receiving Technician, you will be the critical link between our supply chain, manufacturing floor, and the customers we serve. You will own the accuracy and quality of everything moving in and out of our facility — from inspecting incoming components against tight tolerances to ensuring finished energy systems ship on time, fully documented, and built to spec. In a company moving this fast, your attention to detail and sense of urgency are what keep us on schedule.
Where You'll Work
This role will be based in our Houston MV Facility. You must be willing to work in the office full-time.
We're onsite because velocity matters when you're building physical infrastructure. Solving complex problems in real-time with Manufacturing, Engineering, and Finance leaders is how we move faster than a slow, antiquated industry.
Responsibilities
- Inspect incoming materials, components, and subassemblies against purchase orders, drawings, and quality specifications
- Perform outgoing quality checks on finished products prior to shipment, verifying documentation, labeling, and packing requirements are complete and accurate
- Accurately receive, log, and stage inbound shipments in ERP/inventory management systems
- Coordinate and process outbound shipments including freight scheduling, packaging, and carrier management
- Identify, tag, and quarantine non-conforming materials and initiate NCR documentation as required
- Communicate material discrepancies or quality issues to procurement, engineering, and operations teams in real time
- Maintain accurate inventory records and support cycle count processes
- Support internal audits and quality documentation efforts
Requirements
- 2 years of experience in quality control, inspection, or shipping & receiving in a manufacturing environment
- Experience working within an ERP or inventory management system
- Working knowledge of inspection tools including calipers, gauges, and torque verification equipment
- Strong documentation skills with high attention to detail
- Knowledge of freight processes, BOLs, and carrier coordination
- High school diploma or equivalent
Bonus Points
- Experience in energy, electrical, or industrial product manufacturing
- Forklift certification
- Familiarity with hazmat or international shipping requirements
- Experience with NCR processes and quality management systems
- Prior experience in a high-growth startup or fast-paced manufacturing environment
