Responsibilities
Ultrasound Techs perform all requested clinical assessments and diagnostic sonography examinations as ordered by the attending physician. Ultrasound Techs use sonographic skills to identify, record, and adapt procedures as appropriate to anatomical, pathological, diagnostic information, and images. Ultrasound Techs job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Use judgment during the sonographic exam to accurately differentiate between normal and pathologic findings
- Analyze and synthesize sonographic information and communicate findings to the appropriate physician
- Assist with the daily operations of the sonographic laboratory and participate in the maintenance of laboratory accreditation
