Responsibilities
Special Education Teachers of visually impaired students are responsible for organizing and implementing an instructional program and meeting the duties of teaching as outlined in laws and policies. Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Design education program for students that is consistent with the total educational philosophy of the district
- Work in coordination with other ESE teachers to plan and develop the program to fit students’ needs
- Continue professional growth through educational meetings, visiting related facilities, reading professional literature, and collaborating with the district staff
Certifications
- Master’s degree
- Certification and specialized training
